Improve Your Smile with Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are an excellent cosmetic dentistry option available for patient’s who are looking to improve the appearance of their smile.
Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-colored overlays, custom made to cover the front surface of teeth. Once in place, the veneer enhances and/or improves the length, shape, size, or color of each individual tooth.
If you are feeling insecure about your smile or about the shape of your teeth, we encourage you to contact us to schedule a consultation with Dr. Sidhu to learn more about this transformative cosmetic dental procedure.
The Porcelain Veneers Process
Traditionally, patients have a preliminary consultation with Dr. Sidhu to cover all of their options and to determine if they are a good candidate for dental veneers. If the patient is in good oral health and is ready to proceed, we detail all aspects of treatment, from teeth preparation through veneer application.
In a follow up appointment, we have our patients participate in the smile design process by sharing their preferences for the shape, length, width and colour of the veneers. We use technology that allows patient’s to see anticipated results before the procedure. During the smile design process our goal is to understand patient expectations so that we improve the appearance of their teeth in the most natural way.
At this time we also remove a thin layer of enamel from your teeth and take impressions of your mouth, which are then sent to a dental lab. The lab creates a model of your teeth, crafts the thin ceramic shells, and sends the customized veneers back to Alma Dental Centre.
In a follow up appointment, we bond the ceramic shells to the front of the teeth and give you that new and improved smile you have been looking for.
